PURPOSE
Yasa Karsa Insani (YKI) works across Indonesia’s health system to bridge policies, practices, and partnerships that make the HIV response more resilient, efficient, and inclusive. Through evidence-based technical assistance, digital innovation, and capacity development, Yasa Karsa Insani (YKI) enhances the quality, accountability, and sustainability of HIV programs at national and subnational levels.
By combining global best practices with locally grounded expertise, Yasa Karsa Insani (YKI) strengthens diagnostic networks, data interoperability, and institutional readiness, ensuring that HIV services are accessible, equitable, and high-quality. In collaboration with the Ministry of Health, laboratories, and technical partners, Yasa Karsa Insani (YKI) contributes to a cohesive and adaptive HIV system that delivers consistent results, reduces inequalities, and sustains Indonesia’s progress toward ending AIDS as a public health threat.
CAPABILITIES
Enhancing laboratory networks and testing capacity to ensure timely, accurate, and equitable access to viral load and early infant diagnosis (EID) services.
Supporting data interoperability, real-time information flow, and performance-based monitoring to strengthen accountability and evidence-based decision-making.
Providing training, mentoring, and technical guidance that build institutional capacity for service quality, biosafety, and system management.
Integrating digital tools for specimen tracking, logistics management, and surveillance to improve coordination across the HIV service chain.
Fostering multi-sector collaboration with government, laboratories, and networks of people living with HIV to ensure equitable access, sustainability, and national ownership.
